Imperial Painter and Engraver

Peter Fendi was born in Vienna on September 4th, 1796. He was introduced to the Hapsburg Court by the artistic Count Lamberg who obtained the appointment of Imperial Cabinet Painter and Copper Engraver.
Fendi produced delicate watercolors of the Emperor and his family.
He died in 1842, leaving an impressive body of work that is little known today. His erotic works however will last forever.
